UPDATED EASIER PLAN (as of Friday night)
GOOGLE MAPS ROUTE FOR SUNDAY PART 1 PART 2
After picking up the car, we'll head to Reykjavik where we'll see a few sights and stop by a supermarket. Maybe grab a hot dog for lunch before we strike north? Our destination is the Snaefellsnes peninsula. It described as Iceland in miniature do it's wide range of natural features, most of which we will be seeing.
Wild camping is restricted in national parks so we will camp at Ólafsvik Camping Ground. Cost is 1000 kr each.
- We have 2 options
- 1) Go around peninsula and then to campsite. ETA around 8pm
- 2) Go to campsite earlier, about 4:30pm, then go see rest of sights after tents are pitched.
GUESSTIMATION SUMMARY - 5 hours and 190 miles driving. 5 hours of looking at stuff

We will cover 300 miles so will leave the Golden Circle attractions to Wednesday. However, it will still be a long day. I reckon we might not get to the campsite until 10pm.
The goal is a campsite at Blonduos which have emailed me back to confirm they're open and they're prices are 750ISK (less than £6) per person. Happy with that?
I'm going to mail them back just to check the guy didn't mean to type 1750 instead!
